Makoto WAKAO 若尾 誠

1959 Born in Tajimi, Gifu prefecture.

1983 Awarded at Asahi Ceramic art exhibition.
         Awarded at Japan traditional Arts and Crafts exhibition.

1998  Solo exhibition at Ginza Kuroda Touen.
         (2003, 2004,2006, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2017)

2012 Dedication of a large plate (powdery celadon)  to the Japanese Imperial Household Agency.

2015 Awarded at the 6th Kikuchi Biennale.

Kenji HISHIDA  菱田 賢治

1964 Born inYokosuka, Kanagawa prefecture.

1989 Graduated from the design course of the department of Fine arts
        at Tokyo University of the Arts.

1991 Completed the master course at the university.
         Entered Dentsu Inc.

2000 Left Dentsu Inc.
         Began lacquer art and ceramics.

2001 Became an associate professor of art culture department at Onomichi University.
         (~2008)

1998 Built a studio in Izu, Shizuoka prefecture.

2012 The first solo Exhibition at Ginza Kuroda Touen.
        (every year onwards)
