Shiro SHIMIZU           清水 志郎

1979  Born in Gojozaka, Kyoto. The grand son of Uichi Shimizu.

2002  Graduated from Kyoto Seika University, the department of  Art, ceramic course.
         Apprenticed to Uichi Shimizu.

2005  Worked at Gojozaka, Kyoto.

2012  Began charcoal kiln.

2013  Built his studio in Matsugasaki, Kyoto.

2016  Solo exhibition at Ginza Kuroda Touen.

1947 Born in Tokyo.

 
1969 Apprenticed to Takuo Kato.


1982 Built Waritake kiln in Kani, Gifu prefecture.


2002 The first solo Exhibition at Ginza Kuroda Touen.

Special Exhibition - Finest pieces of all times

 

 During this exhibition, we are showing our collection of finest works from the Showa period - 20th Century.

 

Many of finest works with full of artists' passion can attract people from all times. Even though the world has dramatically changed, there are things which have not changed.

 

The works we have collected are very special and we are sure they will be appreciated in the future too.
