Okabe Mineo : Sake cup

[Description of the Work]
Mr. Mineo Okabe, known as the “lonely master” and a leading ceramic artist of the Showa era.
In his later years, he created many works in the celadon style.
This guinomi (sake cup) was created as a tribute to the ancient Seto ware produced during the medieval period in Seto, Okabe’s birthplace.
It is crafted with an exceptionally thin wall and features a beautiful green ash glaze.
The signature is located inside the foot ring.
