Mr. Toyozō Arakawa is one of Japan’s leading ceramic masters, a Living National Treasure and recipient of the Order of Culture.
This guinomi cup, crafted in the Shino style and fired in a pit kiln, features a beautiful, soft crimson hue. It is an elegant piece shaped like a lotus flower.
The interior bears the artist’s signature, “斗” carved with a nail.
This is a beautiful piece that has been carefully preserved in its original, unused condition.
