Mr. Toyozō Arakawa is one of Japan’s leading ceramic masters, a Living National Treasure and recipient of the Order of Culture.
This guinomi (Sake cup), crafted in the Shino style and fired in a pit kiln, features a beautiful, soft crimson hue.
The signature “斗” is carved into the side of the foot.
This is a beautiful piece that has been carefully preserved in its original, unused condition.
