[ Description of the Work ]

Mr. Toyozō Arakawa is one of Japan’s leading ceramic masters, a Living National Treasure and recipient of the Order of Culture.
This guinomi cup, crafted in the Shino style during the final years of his life, features a beautiful, gentle crimson hue and distinctive fingerprints.
His signature, “斗” is carved into the side of the foot.
It is a beautiful piece that has been carefully preserved in its original, unused condition.

Special Exhibition

GINZA KURODA TOUEN is pleased to present a special exhibition featuring masterpieces of [guinomi] Sake cup.

Although sake vessels such as [guinomi] Sake cup are small in size, their charm is said to be on par with that of larger works.

For this special exhibition, we have gathered a collection of captivating masterpieces by ceramic masters—led by Mr. Rosanjin Kitaoji—from the 1950s onward.
We cordially invite you to take this opportunity to view the exhibition.
